Homes for our Troops - Bake for them, too!
On July 13, Homes for our Troops, along with Mayberry Homes, will be building a home in Eaton Rapids for Sgt. Aaron Jolly who is paralyzed from the waist down. Sgt. Jolly is a single father of a 2-year-old little girl (his mother will be his caretaker). He was wounded on his second deployment when an IED blast in Pakhabe' Shana in Eastern Afghanistan on March 19, 2011 left him paralyzed. We will be volunteering for set up and during the opening ceremonies. But they also need bake sale items! President Abby would be happy to pick up any items before the event - a great way to help out this cause if you can't make it to the actual event! Gerald R. Ford Library
Did you know that Gerald Ford played college ball and was being recruited by the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. Instead, he went to Yale Law School before joining the Navy during World War II? Learn many other facts on the second part of our tour "Remembering President Ford" on July 26. We'll be going to the Gerald Ford Library in Ann Arbor and enjoying a delicious meal at Zingerman's Deli afterwards. Admission to the library is free! We'll be carpooling down to Ann Arbor, sign up today! | Calendar Events
