The state's oldest modern dance company is having a rummage sale at their studio on the corner of Hagadorn and Jolly Roads. They are in need of volunteers and have contacted Jaycees to help!!

General Membership Meeting

Our General Membership meetings occur the first Tuesday of each month (except November) at Trippers in Frandor starting at 7 PM with a social hour starting at 6 PM. The meeting is open to all members and anyone interested in learning about the Lansing Jaycees. I hope to see you there!

Lansing Lugnuts Game

Come cheer on our Lansing Lugnuts Baseball Team and enjoy a special tribute to the Detroit Lions (YES! THERE WILL BE A FOOTBALL SEASON!) There will also be fireworks following the game. RSVP by Wednesday, August 3rd. $10 per person. Game starts at 7:05PM. We will meet at the Nuthouse prior to the game for dinner and to pick up your ticket between 5:30-6:45 PM.

Howzat! Introduction to Cricket - Practice Fielding Session

Cricket has its origins in the United Kingdom and was popular in the United States prior to the Civil War, when baseball grew in popularity. Now, the interest in cricket is growing to increased coverage and popular among expatriates of Commonwealth countries who settle in the United States. The project will start with an introduction to cricket through the reading of brief articles about cricket and viewing of videos. The succeeding parts will allow members to enjoy a popular variation of the sport: tape ball cricket. This variation allows for people of various backgrounds and abilities a chance to develop their understanding of the sport while having a great time playing the game with others. Tape ball cricket requires only an open mind and a willingness to try something new!

Do you like cheese? Do you enjoy spending time in downtown Ann Arbor? Then "Get Your Food On (GYFO): Do you fondue?" is the perfect event for you. Fondue is a European dish of melted cheese served with various items for dipping.

The Olivia Raine Foundation Golf Outing

This is a golf outing to help raise funds for The Olivia Raine foundation. The Olivia Raine Foundation is an orginization that offers financial support to families that have lost an infant to help cover the cost of funeral arrangements. This is a four person scramble, and registration is $75.00 per person. The registration includes doughnuts and coffee, lunch, and a dinner. The deadline for registration is August 7th.

GLFF Beer and Wine Tent - Volunteers needed

We are pleased to present our 2nd annual Regional Beer and Wine tent at the Great Lakes Folk Festival, August 12-14. This is a great event and we need several volunteers to make sure it runs successfully. We will provide training as needed.

The following shifts are available: 

Friday, August 12th
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
7:45 PM - 11:00 PM

Saturday, August 13th
11:30 AM - 5:30 PM
5:15 PM - 8:30 PM
8:15 PM - 11:00 PM

Sunday, August 14th
11:30 AM - 3:00 PM
2:45 PM - 6:30 PM
